OFFICE HOURS Our Reception hours are later than some. We are open from 7am - Midnight Sunday to Thursday, From 7am - 3am Friday and from 7am - 4am Saturday. CHECK-IN Arrivals from 12:00noon Standard Rooms sleep a maximum of 3 People including children and babies. Entry to the Hotel when the office is closed ( non-reception hours ) is va the Automatic Check-In facility located outside the front entrance doors. All Internet Reservations are to use the hotel reservation number located on the machine, if checking into the hotel After Hours please ensure you contact the hotel before closure and during reception hours to confirm your Internet Reservation Number to be used in the machine. A Credit Card is strictly required for any arrivals after 6:00pm, and will be required in the After Hours automatic Check-In machine. Bookings that are made via website after 12 midnight are reserved for that following evening and not the previous night. Bookings must be made prior to midnight to be reserved for that night. Eg: A booking made via internet before midnight on the the 5th Feb 2009 will be reserved for the 5th Feb 2009. Bookings made at 12:05am will be reserved for the 6th Feb 2009 and not the 5th Feb 2009. Please note Eftpos cannot be used as a method of payment in the automatic machine. Please also note if you are not the credit card-holder for the booking which has been reserved, then you must contact the hotel prior to your arrival to advise that you will not have the credit card to present to our staff on checkin. Our staff will then ask you to pay a security bond in cash. LOCATION Hotel Formule 1 Fawkner is located 14km from the International and Domestic Airports and only a 15 minute taxi ride at a cost of approximately $22.00. Our location is a 45 minute drive from the city with a bus stop located about 3 minutes' walk form the hotel. TRANSPORTATION The hotel does not operate a shuttle service to the city, although the local taxis are available. There is a train station located within a 10 minute walk - a trip to the city takes 35 minutes to Melbourne Central, the Victoria Market or take a tram to the zoo. Please see reception for other transportation options. RESTAURANTS – EATERIES A $7.00 Continental Breakfast is available daily at the hotel from 7am to last seating 8:45am Monday to Saturday and from 7.30am to last seating 9:15am Sundays and Public Holidays. A Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate and snack foods and soft drink vending machines are available 24hrs and are located in the Hotel Lobby. ATTRACTIONS The local Golf Course is within a half hour drive at Craigeburn. A shopping centre is within an easy walking distance, along with several restaurants and takeaway/fast food outlets. We have flyers for deliveries of chinese, pizza and fish and chips. Please see reception for details. There is also a huge shopping complex with cinemas and Entertainment which is about a 15 minute drive from the hotel. There is a local market open most days about 10 minutes from the hotel. The hotel has an open air carpark accommodating 80 cars and features a communal fridge and microwave. Hot water is provided for babies' bottles or tea and coffee. Early check in and late check out are available upon request (subject to availability). A sliding scale surcharge fee will apply. Please bring with you the confirmation letter with on check in. Please Note: Current Photo ID must be presented on arrival. Due to health regulations no pets are allowed on site.
