The road way at the front of the hotel can cause noise due to rock breaking and we have been informed by the council this will continue for a period of at least 12 months - Until Approx March 08 / April 2009. We are very sorry for the inconvenience this may cause but this is an issue beyond our control. Those choosing to stay will not be eligible to a Refund. Entry to the Hotel when the office is closed ( non reception hours ) is Via the Automatic Check-In facility located outside the front entrance doors. Guest checking in afterhours please locate your SURNAME ON THE AFTERHOURS MACHINE – NEXT TO YOUR SURNAME IS YOUR 5 DIGIT HOTEL NUMBER. Bookings that are made via website after 12 midnight are reserved for that night the date being as before midnight. Eg: A booking made by the internet for arrival at 1.00am on the 6th will be reserved for the 5th Feb 2008. This is because the Hotel day runs overnight until 10.00am the next day . i.e 10.00am on the 5th is still the 5th as per Hotel until 10.00am on the next day which is the 6th. It will then change to the 6th from 10.00am on the actual 6th. Please note cash and Eftpos cannot be used as a method of payment in the automatic machine. Standard Rooms sleep a maximum of 3 People including children and babies. The Hotel is not permitted to accommodate 4 persons. LOCATION Hotel Formule 1 Windsor Brisbane is located on Lutwyche Road Brisbane and is only a five minute drive from Brisbanes Central Business District, Queen Street Mall, Southbank Parklands and Flynn Oval. Suncorp Stadium and the Gabba is a ten minute drive from the Hotel . Royal Brisbane Hospital and the Brisbane Showground is located within walking distance 400 metres. TRANSPORTATION The Hotel does not operate a shuttle service to the City, although the local Taxis are available. The local Bus service direct to the City can be boarded directly at the front of our Hotel and runs fairly frequently. Bus No# 370 or Bus No# 375. Suburban Train Stations nearby are either Windsor Station a 10 minute stroll or Bowen Hills Station located within a half hour walk or 10 minute drive. Please see Reception for other transportation options. RESTAURANTS - EATERIES A $7.00 Continental Breakfast is available Daily at the Hotel from 7am to 9am. Last seating 8:45am. Takeaway can be ordered from brochures located at Reception. Restaurants are located within the Central Business District or at Lutwyche Cento or Chermside West Shopping Centres. Please see Reception for directions. A Tea/Coffee/Hot Chocolate & Snack Foods & Soft Drink Vending machines are available 24hrs and are located in the Hotel Lobby. ATTRACTIONS Brisbane Entertainment Centre, Brisbane Convention Centre are located in the Central Business District along with a vast array of Shopping Centre options. Brisbane Bronco Rugby League Grounds - Suncorp Stadium is located within a short drive from the Hotel. Gold Coast Theme parks and Attractions are located within an easy hours drive. Movie World - Outback Spectacular Wet & Wild - Upgraded with new wild rides Sea World - Polar Bears, Rides, Dolphins etc Australia Zoo is also only a 1.5hr easy drive from the Hotel.
